IS IT JUST ME, OR IS ANYONE ELSE SCARED OF COWS?
Lovely sunny evening walk tonight; the kind where the fields are alive with rabbits.
Not just rabbits though, pretty much every field right now is occupied by cows - and some real gangly babies one too....ok, ok calfs, gangly calfs, some realy gangly calfs.
I do love cows, they've got a weird kind of sad beauty. .. Did I mention that I'm massively scared of them too...they're fine when they're on the other side of the hedge, but at this time of year, I end up planning my walks so as not to walk through them. Being chased by cows is massively intimidating. as soon as one shows an interest, they all follow...and while they're usually slow and lumbering, they're a bit like Russell Grant..actually quite nimble and quick, but still with the power to do a lot of damage if they land on top of you (sorry Russell)
My - slightly crazy - neighbour has told me that if they come hurtling towards me, I should stand my ground, outstretch my arms, and shout "I AM THE COW GOD". I think I may stick to planning different routes.
